Hi, I'm Alyssa Frost

As a founding engineer, I work across the whole stack, from the mobile app to the web dashboard to the .NET backend, building tools that volunteers and organizers rely on in the field. A lot of my work is about making the product hold up in the real world: apps that keep working without signal, privacy and legal compliance built in from the start, and screens that work on any device. I also lead features end to end, like our web and mobile onboarding, and help build the shared platform that runs multiple branded products from a single codebase.

Architected and iterated on LLM prompt strategies, building a testing framework to evaluate functional correctness, code quality, and output reliability for production systems. Reduced hallucinations through edge-case handling and iterative prompt refinement, meeting security and reliability standards for production deployment.

Standardized SFTP protocols for cross-platform integration, improving security and data transfer reliability. Designed and refactored AWS Lambda events for scalable, reliable API services. Debugged software, documented processes, and established dependency standards later used to optimize CloudFormation templates across a service.

Designed and built web scrapers and APIs to extract and analyze content from Facebook, Reddit, and Instagram, feeding data processing pipelines for analysts. Developed an access control system and integrated it into the lab's administrative toolkit for smooth access management.
